A little about us…
Durham Art Group (formerly known as Deerness Art Group) is an association of amateur artists resident in the North East region. We draw our members from the Tyne to North Yorkshire. Our interests are painting related activities centred on developing our skills, knowledge and enjoyment from our hobby or semi-professional activities.
We meet every second Sunday of the month starting at 11am and ending at 2.30pm.
Merryoaks Community Hall
Park House Road
Durham
DH1 3QF
Some of these monthly meetings are tutored by professional artists. We organise regular annual exhibitions for members’ work and arrange art related visits to exhibitions and galleries. Twice a year we also hold competitions for all members and award the Bob Miller Award and Shafto Prize to the lucky winners. We are now sharing our skills in Show & Tell sessions.
Please find us and join us on Facebook and Instagram too. You don't have to be a club member to take part in the conversations, we welcome all those who are as interested in art as we are!
Membership Information
