We always have some exciting events planned for the year! In addition to our annual members' exhibitions, we will be organising more small group outings to galleries and art exhibitions. We will be inviting tutors, but also pencilling in Show & Tell sessions by skilled members who have kindly offered to share their knowledge and techniques with us.

12 January - Membership subscriptions due. Still only £15! You can pay by cash or by bank transfer. Bring all your unused or unwanted art supplies for our Donation/Swap Table this Sunday. Always plenty to find for a bargain!
1 - 31 May - DAG Exhibition at St Thomas, Wolsingham DL13 3AJ. 30 May - Exhibition Open Day.
18 July - Plein air Painting Challenge Day for the Bob Miller Award. Botanic Garden, Durham. Arrive for 10am and reconvene at 2.30pm for judging and award.
31 August - Open Day for an exhibition at St Thomas' Hall, Wolsingham to coincide with Wolsingham Fusion Art Festival.
12 September - In-house Tutoring: Deryck's still life oil demo at the monthly meeting.
14 September - 15 November - Ushaw College Exhibition.
29 - 30 November - Visit to Ousburn Open Gallery and Biscuit Factory.
14 December - Christmas Meeting with festive snacks.

Recent News & Activities
Margaret, who has been our amazing chair for almost a decade, has decided to step down. We took the opportunity to thank her for her many years of service as we welcomed Jen to the post. All the very best to these two wonderful ladies!
Margaret has promised us that she will remain an active member of the club.
Everyone enjoyed the Painting Challenge Day at the Botanic Garden on Saturday 21 June. The Bob Miller Award, first presented in 2012 in memory of a longstanding founder member, is given to the artist with the best painting of the day. This year Jen Straughan is the proud winner of the Bob Miller Award 2025. Congratulations, Jen!
Every year we award the Shafto Prize for the best in show at one of our annual exhibitions. This year the exhibition is at Ushaw College from 9 September to 7 November 2025 and the winner of the Shafto Prize is one of our new members Gorete Downey. Congratulations, Gorete!

The life drawing session on 8 May 2022 was a great success! For many of us, it was a first and we learnt a lot on the day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Painting Day at Ushaw College on 21 May 2022. The sun shone and the rhododendrons were in full bloom!
